Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): A civil rights law that prohibits discrimination of people with disabilities in areas of pubic life: work, transportation, school and places public or private that are open to the public.

Medicaid: A joint federal and state program that provides health benefits for people who meet eligibility requirements.

Waiver Services: Waivers are state-specific and condition-specific. Medicaid waivers allow states to choose groups of people with particular needs and health conditions to receive tailor-made healthcare options at home or within the community.

National Home Builders Association: NHAB is a trade organization that represents its members in home building, home remodeling, property management, subcontracting, design, housing finance, building product manufacturing and other aspects of residential and light commercial construction. They provide education for its members in various topics related to the home industry.
